The remaining thickness at the thinnest position must be at least 60% of the original thickness. CASTOLIN recommends a welding thickness of 40 mm maximum. All mentioned materials available in combination with Castolin Services only!
THE GLOBAL STANDARD EQUIPMENT - FACTS
Castolin Eutectic operates at on-site jobs with two workers per shift, in 2 shifts á 12 hours.
The setup time in average is about 8 to 10 hours (3 rollers and a table) independently of the type of mill. Dismantling is done in around 2 hours.
The project lead time is calculated with 5 to 6 kg material deposited per welding torch. Effective we have a deposition rate of 8 to 10 kg per hour and per welding torch.
Up to 6 torches can be operated simultaneously resulting in a deposition rate up to 60 kg/h.
Welding spatter losses (material which is not deposited but has to be paid by the customer) are at around 5% only. An extremely low number in comparison with the industry standard using rectifier welding machines where around 12 to 25% are measured.
